Uta Meesmann is a senior researcher at Vias Institute in Brussels. She has a background in public health and broad experiences in national and international research projects. In recent years, Uta specialized in cross-cultural surveys to monitor road safety attitudes, self-declared behaviour and traffic-safety-culture. She is the initiator and coordinator of the ESRA initiative (E-Survey on Road Users’ Attitudes), which has already been conducted in more than 60 countries across the world.
