Senior Transport Specialist, Inter-American Development Bank (IDB)

Paula Cruz is a Senior Transportation Specialist for the IDB Country Office in Paraguay. Paula has almost 20 years of experience in the area of transportation, has an MPA in Public Policy and Management from the London School of Economics, has a diploma in economics from Los Andes University in Colombia and is a Civil Engineer by profession. She has worked in the public sector in Colombia, in the National Planning Department as advisor to the Deputy Director of Transportation; in the Ministry of Transportation as Advisor to the Minister of Transport; in the National Mining Agency as Manager of Royalties. In the private sector, she worked as Manager of Infrastructure Business Development at CEMEX, Colombia, and has also been a consultant for different organisations at national and international levels. Paula began her career at the IDB as a Transportation Consultant in Washington, DC, and was Senior Transportation Specialist in charge of the Bank’s Transportation portfolio in Colombia.
