
Paul O’Hanlon
R&D Project Manager, Holcim Innovation Center
Paul O’Hanlon is an R&D Project Manager based at the Holcim Innovation Center in France. His focus is on digitally evolving the concrete industry, through the implementation of sensors, models and new technologies. His main expertise is to bring together operational knowledge with innovative digital research to provide differentiation and efficiencies through a data-driven, automated, customer centric approach.
Paul has more than 21 years of technical, commercial, managerial and business development experience in the concrete industry. He spent time in senior industry positions in Europe and Central Asia before joining Holcim in 2016 in Qatar, where he held the role of Head of Growth, Innovation & Quality. His latest appointment with Holcim commenced in early 2021 when he joined the Holcim Innovation Center to lead a R&D global initiative to digitally evolve the concrete industry.
Paul has a broad academic foundation in the Building Surveying, Construction management, Advanced Concrete Technology and Project Management. Throughout his career he has actively participated in committees and associations for the development of standards and the improvement of the concrete industry. Paul currently holds designatory status with both the Institute of Concrete Technology and the UK Concrete Society.
