Norbert Schindler is the founder and CEO of GNSS Consulting, which specializes in identifying, evaluating, integrating, and implementing accurate satellite positioning solutions for electronic tolling and for road telematics – both in the public and private sectors. He studied Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence at Carnegie-Mellon and at the Technical University of Vienna. He has extensive experience in the IT and telecommunications sector. After managing several technology projects in Europe, North America and East Asia, Norbert moved to the field of electronic tolling 20 years ago. In 2017, he established GNSS Consulting, which draws upon experienced experts in the use of Global Satellite Navigation (GNSS) solutions for distance-based road user charging. He is also an independent expert at European Union Agency for the Space Program (EUSPA), evaluating and monitoring European GNSS projects that are on the cutting edge of high-precision and robust satellite positioning solutions using Galileo and EGNOS.
