International Road Federation

Active since 1948, the International Road Federation (IRF) is a membership-based organisation representing leading corporate and institutional players drawn from the road and mobility sectors worldwide. The IRF promotes the development of roads and road networks that enable access and sustainable mobility for all.

A world of safe, sustainable, and efficient roads and road networks.

To promote the development of roads and road networks that enable access and sustainable mobility for all.

Commitment to safe, smart and sustainable roads.

The IRF places its focus around 4 core pillars of activities: knowledge and expertise transfer and sharing; connecting people, businesses, and organisations; policy and advocacy; and data collection and dissemination.

Knowledge & Expertise

IRF fosters innovation and progress by providing access to and sharing cutting-edge knowledge and expertise.

IRF brings people, businesses, countries and organisations together to exchange ideas, define solutions to common problems and forge partnerships that deliver.

Policy & Advocacy

IRF engages with decision-makers at international, national and local levels to bring about positive change and advance the sustainable road transport and mobility agenda.

Data & Statistics

IRF provides insights into the sector and beyond, specifically by producing the annual World Road Statistics (WRS) and by facilitating analysis and use of data via the IRF Road Data Warehouse.

IRF Statistics
