EDITORIAL

Dear Readers,

Pleased to share with you this new edition of our newsletter after the summer break. We have started what promises to be a bustling autumn. We will be next week at the PIARC World Congress in Abu Dhabi with three IRF organised/co-organised sessions on 7 and 8 October respectively on road safety partnerships, on gender issues in transport and on road safety audits. Beside those sessions, you will find us speaking at the TRB-led sessions on connected and autonomous transport. Make sure you join us for these forward looking discussions!

We have important trainings scheduled for this autumn in Doha and in Senegal and more dates will be soon added given growing request. Mark the 26 of November in your calendar as we will be in Marrakech, Morocco for the 3rd edition of the Sustainable Mobility Conference. Building on the momentum generated by the UN Climate Action Summit and the upcoming Third Global Ministerial Conference on Road Safety (Sweden 2020), we will convene high-level speakers to discuss future directions for our industry.

Now it's the time to commit and to act and we at the IRF are proud to be involved and engaged in the ACT initiative launched at the UN Climate Action Summit and the new campaign from the Global Alliance of NGOs for Road Safety #CommitToAct.

This and a lot more in our newsletter.

Good reading.
