IRF On-Line Conference: Roads to Recovery: a Sustainable Mobility for a Sustainable Future
November 12, 2020 @ 9:30 am – 12:30 pm CET
IRF will be hosting a three-hour on-line conference on 12th November to discuss priorities for the road sector going forward. Governments around the world are announcing unprecedented stimulus packages to support economies devastated by effects of the Covid-19 crisis. This is the time to shape a better and more sustainable mobility for all.
“We commit to re-double our efforts to promote quality infrastructure investment and accelerate efforts to mobilize private sources of infrastructure financing, aimed at raising productivity, lifting growth, and promoting job creation. We commit to support an environmentally sustainable and inclusive recovery. We will be guided by a sense of shared, long-term responsibility for our planet and citizens consistent with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, our national and local development strategies, and relevant international commitments.”
G20 Finance Ministers Communiqué, 15 April 2020
The conference will be structured around three main sessions:
- High-Level Panel debate on Recovery for the Road Sector
- Safer roads to save lives
- Fostering innovation to accelerate road sector transformation
The conference is open to everyone and registration is for free.
