12th SuM4All Consortium Meeting
February 15, 2022 All day

About the Event
Sustainable Mobility for All (SuM4All) – the premier platform for international cooperation on sustainable transport and mobility issues globally – marks its fifth anniversary with the 12th Consortium meeting. Our milestone celebration will take place in a context of deep uncertainty and tension. Two very different visions of the world are emerging on the way forward in transport: countries eager to grow their economies and transport systems for higher prosperity; and those seeking ways to respond to climate change, while preserving their well-being.
“En-route to Sharm El Sheikh” will offer a unique and safe space to discuss these issues and ensure that no country is left behind as mobility solutions are being devised, financed, and implemented around the world. Don’t miss this opportunity to contribute and help shape the transport agenda for COP27!
Building on the Global Roadmap of Action (GRA) and its holistic approach, a new SuM4All working group led by the International Road Federation (IRF) & Michelin will be launched during the 12th Consortium Meeting. The WG will provide actionable policy guidance in the form of a set of policy recommendations, derived from policy measures contained in the GRA. The policy recommendations and guidance will be backed-up by an inventory of available tools and concrete case studies demonstrating how to turn policy into action and by what means and steps. This will help shape national and local-level regulations and action.
Objectives of the 12th Consortium Meeting
- Commemorate five years of partnership and collaboration under the SuM4All umbrella
- Engage with a high-level panel on pathways towards sustainable mobility in a prelude to COP27
- Quick start the implementation of the new partnership’s work program
Event Structure and Participation
This event will bring Member organizations and other interested parties together around an exciting agenda: (i) a high-level panel, preceded by the 5-year anniversary celebration of the partnership; and (ii) the launch of the new work program (including work streams). The first segment will be open to public policymakers, transport and energy experts, researchers, and the wider public and private sector stakeholders interested in or implementing action toward sustainable mobility. Segment 2 will be for SuM4All members only.
