Newsletter – Issue Nº 5 2023

EDITORIAL

Dear Reader,

We are excited to present to you the latest edition of the IRF Newsletter, marking our return after a brief summer break. This newsletter shares some of the highlights of the recent months and offers as well a glimpse into the exciting events and initiatives that lie ahead.

The release of the 60th Edition of the IRF World Road Statistics is a major milestone for our Federation in this special year in which we celebrate our 75th anniversary. Accessible for free through the IRF Data Warehouse online platform, this edition brings updated data for the road and transport sector, covering over 200 countries and territories and 200 indicators. Make sure you join the launch event on 28 September to learn about the platform and how to make the best out of the WRS Data!

To mark in your calendar also a series of important events you will not want to miss, including the IRF Young Professionals Summit, the IRF Annual Conference 2023 and the dense programme that IRF will host at the PIARC World Road Congress in Prague – offering a unique opportunity for knowledge exchange and networking.

While we look forward to this exciting programme, our thoughts and prayers are also with the Moroccan people who are dealing with the dramatic consequences of the terrible earthquake that has hit the country few days go. We wish them the strength to overcome this difficult moment. We stand by their side and they can count on the IRF family for support.

Best wishes,

Susanna Zammataro
Director General
