Dear Reader,
We have kicked off a very special year for the IRF. The Federation celebrates its 75th anniversary!
Connecting people, ideas, and organisations has been at the core of IRF’s work over the past seven decades. From working in partnership with others to rebuild war-torn Europe following World War II to driving the road sector forward into the 21st century, the Federation has been instrumental in innovating and in providing leadership for global road sector development.
Hence, this anniversary is everyone’s anniversary. An important moment to celebrate and to reflect on the lessons from the past, but also an open window on the opportunities that the future offers.
The destination remains unchanged: delivering better mobility systems for all, together.
This and a lot more in this first issue of IRF CROSSROADS for 2023.
Good reading!
