EDITORIAL
Dear Reader,
We are pleased to share with you a new edition of CROSSROADS, the IRF newsletter. As we leave the summer behind us in the Northern Hemisphere, we are already gearing up for what promises to be a very busy autumn for our sector. A quick look at our list of upcoming events will provide you a synthetic overview of what’s in the pipelines.
As we push forward and expand our capacity building activities, we do so in line with and in preparation for some major milestones for the transport sector: the launch of the Decade of Action Plan, the UN Sustainable Transport Conference and COP26.
The IRF Annual Conference on 20-21 October will provide to our community the opportunity to come together and discuss how we innovate to deliver on the ambitious targets set in these international processes. The release of the 2021 edition of the IRF World Road Statistics in September will further support these efforts with a robust set of data.
This and a lot more in this edition of CROSSROADS.
Good reading!
